The Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, Old Dominion University (Norfolk, Virginia, USA) looks for a faculty member specializing in Asian Philosophy.
Candidate will be responsible for teaching introductory World Religions, as well as upper-level courses in Asian Philosophy and Religion (e.g., Asian Religions, Comparative Philosophy, Hinduism, Buddhism).
Course load: 3/3.
Compelling evidence of teaching effectiveness and scholarly potential required. Successful candidate will be expected to pursue an active research agenda. Completed PhD in Philosophy or Religious Studies required by the time of appointment and preferred by time of application. The candidate may also have opportunities to teach other upper-level courses that complement the department’s existing areas of curricular strength.
