The journal appears to have hosted articles on various topics, ranging from literature to the visual arts, from politics to the history of sciences, across times and countries but with a strong focus on South, South East and East Asia.

The interesting part is that the journal is programmatically Open Access (“Gold/Golden Open Access“, if you are familiar with the EU jargon). It provides immediate OA access to all contents, both as pdf and as html, and allows for the addition of high quality colour images. All articles are beautifully laid out and can be read online or downloaded, even without registering. Authors

retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CCBY)

The only flaw, from my personal point of view, is the need to send MS-word files.
