Applications are invited for a fixed-term Research Associate (Grade 7: £28,132-£36,661) in Buddhism in the Faculty of Divinity for three years from 1 October 2014 -30 September 2017. Preference will be given to candidates with research expertise in the paradigms, ideas and arguments of Indian Buddhism as a way of life.

The Research Associate will undertake research and teach courses at undergraduate and master’s level in the field, and will be expected to play an active role in developing the subject in the Faculty as well as promoting collaborative activity throughout the University, including the development of a network of those interested in Indian Studies.

Candidates, who must have successfully completed a doctorate and have a programme of future research and publications, must be able to take up the post on 1 October 2014. The appointment will be subject to 6 months probation.
